The Allegheny Foundation is part of the Scaife Family foundations and is chaired by Richard Mellon Scaife. While the foundation grants money to assist historical, educational, and environmental groups in Western Pennsylvania, it has also funded conservative organizations, such as Heritage and the Free Congress Foundation.
